Just a question based off of experience in the public accounting profession. Not sure how some of your firms are but the one that i currently work for is pretty big on selling services to clients and actively seeking out new potential clients. It is so important to the firm it is engraved in our performance management evaluations. Anyhow, my question is how do you guys approach potential clients about your firms services? What methods are appropriate? It would be interesting to hear from a Staff or Senior perspective. The reason for me asking is I feel it may be a bit redundant to a certain extent considering most of the associates at a staff level hadn’t really matured to the level where it is deemed appropriate for them to help the firm gain new clients. (Personal opinion by observing in my office). What do you guys think?
