I have a phone conversation tomorrow with someone in HR in a mid size firm. What is best to talk about from my end to make it a two way street?

What sort of questions should I ask? I know the questions are different than the actual interview.

    Some tips:

    – Give complete answers, but don't fill silence gaps by rambling – tempting to do and you could find yourself down a path you hadn't planned on going via tangent.

    – Don't ask about pay or benefits … IF they bring it up – just say you're looking for a fair offer that's in line with the job description and your qualifications – NEVER toss out a number – let them do it. You might leave money on the table. Then again – this is only a phone interview, so this tip is overkill at this point.

    – Be sure to ask some questions … such as the company culture, etc.

Someone may want to chime in and add to this.
