Does your firm or workplace offer paid time off on test day? My firm does not (we must use vacation time) and I’m curious to know if that is the norm.

I work for Sedgwick which is mostly an Insurance Company. I recently moved into a Staff Accountant position (6/26/13) and my current boss allows me a ‘free' 4.5HRS for the test I'm taking, the other 3HRS I use my PTO (I so deserve to take a WHOLE day after the test). I usually take the day before off too, but that's PTO and not given to me. When I wasn't working in the Finance department, my other boss didn't allow the ‘free' time. I had to use PTO. I think it very much depends on the boss. My company also has a pretty amazing Education/Professional Developement reimbursement policy too so I'm extremely lucky (and happy) and to work for it while I get my CPA license.

    FAR - 70, 80!!!!!
    AUD - 67, 90!!!!
    REG - 88!!!
BEC - 77!!!! DONE DONE DONE DONE!!

    MS License #6381 YAYAYAY!!!! (
