Hi everyone. Hope someone can answer my question.

I am thinking about applying for the initial nys cpa license and wonder if my work experience meets the requirement.

I have 1.5 years working experience at a public accounting firm and my position is part time(20-25hrs per wk). However, I worked like 35 hrs per workweek sometimes.

The board requires 1 year full time (35-40 per wk) experience or 2 years part time (at least 20 hr per wk). And 2 part time weeks count as 1 full time week.

Do I meet the experience requirement? Btw the application only let you check box as either full time or part time.

I do not think they allow part time and full time credit from the same job.
Your employer would need to submit supporting documentation to show the hours worked each week while you were employed as part time.
When I sent in my application I indicated a year of part time experience, and weekly paystubs were submitted with the Form 4B from my employer.
I am still awaiting approval from NYS (17+weeks now), so I can't say for sure whether it worked or not. I also have 15 years of full time experience, so I don't think my part time will be the deciding factor for me.
