I graduated from college with 134 hours in a state that required 150 hours to sit for the CPA exam and I found it impossible to obtain a public accounting job in that state. Have other people experienced this same thing? I have passed 3 exams and I am currently taking classes to acquire the extra credits, hopefully some doors in public accounting will open up after busy season. Thanks for the help.

Can we take the exam with less than 150 hours completed? I mean, is the pre-exam education requirement being at least 150 hours?

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Virginia does not require 150 hours to take the CPA exam, which is the state that I am currently a candidate in. I'm trying to get a job in Ohio which requires 150 hours to take the exam and apply for a license. I graduated from Ohio State and I fulfill all of the class requirements for the state of Ohio. Does anybody know if I'll have to get a license in Virginia before I'm able to get a license in Ohio or can I transfer test scores between states?
