to get into Public Accounting. I have passed all the exams and have the credit requirement. I am in NYC and want to stay in the area. Any advice??

Have you looked into LinkedIn jobs and Indeed.com? There're openings for auditor's (assuming you want to get into audit).

I would say find who the recruiters are for the firms you're most interested in, connect with them on LinkedIn and message/email them. With public accounting, it's all about who you know unfortunately, which is why anytime there's an accounting student who is the child of a CPA, they're pretty much guaranteed an offer, even if they're the worst student and don't belong in public accounting at all. Just try to find some of the recruiters and build relationships/connections with them.
