    Hi Another71,

I recently completed my internship with a small accounting firm a couple of months ago. Right now, I am going to work temporarily with a CPA firm in downtown Seattle until tax season is over. After that, I am practically clueless on what to do, other than to continue studying for the CPA exam. Any advice would be helpful.

P.S. I graduated with my BS in Accounting two years ago. Also, some people had recommended to keep in contact with the recruiters for firms where I wanted to work. How often should I keep contacting them?

    Regards,

What happened after graduation? Were you unable to secure a full-time job? Why do you think you were unable? Was an accounting internship since graduating the only work you could find? (not pestering you or insulting… but you don't have very much detail)

Also think about what you like best about accounting and accounting classes. Did you like audit/tax/reporting? From your internship, what was your favorite things to work on? Or what about your firm's services seemed like you'd want to learn more about? Why'd you choose accounting?

After graduation, most of my work experience involve preparing tax returns at H&R Block and the recent internship that I finished, which also heavily involves completing 1040 and 1041. I have the desire to enter the public accounting field even if it is not one of the Big 4 companies.

Right now, I wanted to expand my experience and knowledge in tax and become proficient on it.
