Moving and looking for a job

After my boyfriend graduates college in July 2012, we plan to move near Dallas Texas where I’ll start looking for a job. How early should I start looking for a job?

I know it may depend on the job market in Dallas (and surrounding areas), but not sure how long it can really take to find a good job, especially the way people talk about the job market. Should I wait until after tax season is over to start looking, which gives me about 3 months? or start now?

I have my B.A. in accounting and all the hours required, studying for my exam now (none passed yet) and a year experience in public accounting.

There is no reason to wait, just start looking now. I was planning to move after I graduated college, and I started looking for a job 8 months before my graduation date. I was offered (and accepted) a really great job offer in the new location 7 months before I graduated. It was great knowing I already had a job waiting for me.

Thanks! Thats what I was thinking! I know with accounting jobs they're often willing to wait for you, which is quite nice.
