What’s the lowest a CPA will make his first year (on average) after he becomes licensed? I.e., the bottom 10% of first-year CPAs.

Depends on location too. 40k in Phoenix is solid, but I'm sure in New York and other areas it's hard to get by on that much.

Here in Phoenix, fresh out of school with a MACC, some experience, and ongoing exams for CPA will fetch around 40k at the very very lowest, up to 55k if you're in big 4 or big corporation. Bulk of my classmates fell into 48-52k range (MACC class of 2014). If you already have the cpa and experience, I'd imagine the floor is at the mid 40's here in Phoenix, with the ceiling going into the mid to high 50's.

    Licensed in Arizona

After reading that, I think it's about 32K. Random, semi-relevant guess.

    Hey letsgetthisoverwith(and others),

I am living in San Francisco, have the CPA 1 year work experience requirement, and quit my retail job to study for the CPA exam. You have any theories on whether I will have trouble finding work with a CPA license in SF. I have been in retail for 5 years :O

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
