I am hoping to give all my exams of CPA by March 2017. I am Certified financial Analyst(CFA) and a chartered accountant in India. My basic education is from India and have 7 yrs of experience in finance. I am authorised to work in USA and have been looking to work under a CPA in Baltimore Maryland. Can anyone provide me with any help?

My only idea would be to contact small firms. They are dying for strong candidates like you.

P.S. Focus on a firm that's got several CPAs already so you know they're doing lots of interesting work.

I work in the area. There are quite a few accounting firms in baltimore, owings mils, cockeysvill-sparks area. You can find them on Google maps and see if they are hiring from their website.

@PrachiJain its hard for people that do not know you personally or know your work ethic to just be willing to submit your resume. When I submit a resume I have to be able to vouch for that person.

It takes time to look for a job and it can frustrating. However, you will have to put in the work. It took me almost a year to find another job when I was looking to leave Big 4.

As everyone suggested,do a google search and find firms and reach out to each firm. Also look on indeed.com and look on Linkedin. I would make sure to update your Linkedin profile. Another thing is to look for jobs in industry as well that are looking for someone that is either a CPA or working on their CPA. Some companies will have a CPA that can sign off on experience. Everyone gets hung up on just public accounting. But if you really need a job I would cast a wide net and look for everything. In the long run it will be easier to find another job when you already have one.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.
