    Hello,

I am a recent college graduate and am working towards becoming a CPA. I have passed 1 section so far and am taking another section next month. What is the best way to look for a job in this field. I have been looking for a job for about a month but I have not been able to find anything.

    Thank You

Linkedin is your best friend or try your college's career center and have them look over your resume. The only thing you can do is look around and mention that you are currently studying and passed one exam. Good luck

In addition to the other suggestions you received, try joining your state’s CPA society and start networking through the online forums and webinars. Reach out to friends from school and ask former professors if they know who is hiring.

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!
if you want things to change, you have to do something different

The Professional Societies are a waste. They're only interested in setting up business deals with other established professionals. Membership ain't free so keep that in mind

You're better off on LinkedIn. Follow a few professionals and companies. If they post something, respond. Use the time to strike up a conversation (do NOT ask for a job). Instead, if you get a bubble ask for their opinion on X.

Also setup job alerts. When something interesting posts, tailor your cover letter to mention something you saw on LinkedIn.

I got interviews doing this. They ultimately went with someone else, but I was brought in because of it. Just get in the room bc you never know. A lot of job hunting is luck and timing.

Depends on where you are and what option you are open to…

I think right now the economy is on two extremely, either there's no opening or there's openings but no body wants to work (due to various reasons).

In NY – If you are willing to get out of your house and travel, there's jobs.

    New York - NYC
    Passed CPA Exam (11/2014)
In search for a position in NYC that will fulfills the license requirement.
