Maybe I’m over-thinking, but should I be clear on my resume that I was hire as a consultant for a company instead of an employee?
I was a consultant for one company for a little over a year. And then I went to work for another company where I was a consultant for 3 months, and then got converted into an Employee since then.
How do I go about listing this? This is what I’m thinking about….
EMPLOYER NAME
Accountant July 2013 – Present
Accountant Consultant April 2013 – June 2013
EMPLOYER NAME
A/P Assistant Consultant Feb 2012 – March 2013
Before, I lumped everything together and didn’t specify consultant… but I’m worried if they do a background check on me, I don’t think they’ll be able to see the consultant work? I’m not sure how this works.. I don’t want them to think I’m lying about my work experience or anything….
Any advice would be great! Thank you!
