I’m almost 35 in director’s position. It’s expected at my stage that I have a CPA or MBA from a decent school.

Is it a positive or negative to draw attention to that I’m currently progressing through my exams?

On one hand, people might think “oh that guy’s on the right path?”

On the other hand, people might think “wait, why doesn’t he already have it at his age? he’s been in finance for a decade” or

“why is he even bragging about 1 or 2 exams? It’s CPA or GTFO”

“Plus, that puts unnecessary pressure on you. What if one of your credits expire and you lose progress?”

If I can't pass 3 exams in 18 months after all this education and work experience, that means I have WAAAY more serious problems on my hand.

But to the points that were brought up, it makes perfect sense. Thank you all for your candid feedback.

*FYI, my I am not the CFO yet – I'm the finance leader but my title doesn't change until a few things happen, one of them me becoming a CPA.
