Hey everybody, I just completed the CPA exam and now want to improve my excel accounting skills before landing my first accounting job since this is what most employers are looking for. Can anybody give me some advice on some good self-study instructional materials or textbooks that contain a solutions manual.

I would just google how to do things like SUMIF, VLookup, Macros, and Pivot Tables.

They can save you a ton of time if you have large amounts of data to work with.

The Shelly Cashman series textbook used in some colleges its a great place to start. Also depending on how much you already know, the Teach Yourself Visually series is also great. I agree with Jeff, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, micros and VLookups are the ones I use most of the time.

you can get a one month subscription to https://www.lynda.com/Excel-training-tutorials/192-0.html for $25 You get to see lots of videos. The videos seem easier to use than dry textbooks
