What does a Financial Analyst do on a day to day basis for a large corporation?

In my company, I work for a large real estate management company.

The Financial Analyst is more worried about finance stuff.. Like NPV and IRR and crunching numbers to see if new deals are going to work or not.

That's about as general a business job title as they come. It's like “Business Analyst” or “Project Manager”.

A Financial Analyst could do payroll at one company, cash modeling at another, and literally be doing everything at this company over here.

You'd have to take a good look at the job description.
