    Hi everyone,

    I had a few interviews last week and have heard from one (local firm) so far. It is not my first choice but I feel like I am obligated to call them back right away to accept the offer — but then again, if I accept this one right away, I MIGHT also be offered a job from the other firms ( Moss Adams, and today, I have an interview with Deloitte) ..(or it could be the opposite and only have that local firm accept me out of all the firms I applied.

    So what is the best way to deal with this?

    @Hellen:

    All I did was send out TONS of resumes to many firms. I'd refer to this website for a list of firms in the area:

    https://www.discovercpa.org/career/intern_contacts.cfm

    I went to each of their website and directly emailed them about my interest in a job opportunity. Also, if you're an Alumni of your school, they have a Career website where several Accounting firms post job opportunities — The timing for me was perfect because it is the recruiting season and they'd like me to start in January 2013 for the busy season ahead.

    Good luck!!!

    @littlenumberrobot

    Thanks! One thing I did notice is that when I brought up accounting, the interviewer didn't seem that interested. It was as if he wanted to talk about something else. I found out I have another interview for next week so I hope I can nail that one.

    Yeah it was for accounting. I think he just wanted to see if I was personable and had a life outside of accounting. But I came into the interview wanting to show that I was a self motivated individual who is devoting a significant amount of time into passing the exams.
