Just want to know if it’s a good idea to give my business card ( firm I currently working in) to the interviewer?

I think a business card is a little redundant since they'll have your resume. Plus, if HR screens your emails and the company emailed an offer letter to the work email listed on your business card, you could be in an awkward situation.

What's your current position and what are you applying for?

I think it might set you apart if you are a recent grad applicant where not many people have a business card–thus giving the interviewer something extra to hang onto which might stand out to the interviewer–if you're experienced , its redundant to the resume, and doesnt have the same cheeky funniness as an entry level candidate handing over a business card.

Since you're not at the interview as a representative of your current employer, it is inappropriate to use your business card for that purpose.

No, don't do it. That's awkward. You are interviewing to work for them. If this was a networking event, that's a different story.

Agree with previous posters, don't do it. It shows your potential employer that you use company resources for personal gain.
