I need something to help keep me up for a few more hours to get a bit more MCQ review in before I’m off to take REG in the afternoon.

What would be your response to the interview question “What have you accomplished?”

Excluding obtaining your degree and passing the exam, what kind of responses do you think employers look for?

Want to think about the position you're interviewing for and which of your accomplishments would be an asset to that position, you may go on three different interviews and answer that question three different ways.

If I thought they were looking for someone who would constantly go above and beyond their job description, I explained that I had some downtime at a position and let my boss know I wanted to take on the task of seeing the cost implications of going paperless, outsourcing our scanning and freeing up floorspace currently occupied by file cabinets, my idea was very well received then implemented.

But for others where I thought multitasking was going to be the highest priority I'd explain something like converting the 401k for my employer from one recordkeeper to another while still submitting all of my accounting reports timely.

If I thought the employer was looking to improve productivity I'd explain I implemented weekly meetings between finance and production to coordinate and keep lines of communication open so that operations was more sensitive to their P&L impact and finance could anticipate and help mitigate production issues that were expected.
