Recently, an interview asked me what drives you in accounting?

My response was new challenges, implementation of new ideas

Please share your thoughts on what’s the best way to answer this question. Thanks.

Lol, my first thought when I read the title was when people where I work call fixed assets “inventory”. They tell me, “we just got 3 new chairs and 2 new calculators, can you take them out of inventory.” Don't know why it annoys me so much, I work at a bank, so we are not in the business of selling chairs and calculators. But to answer the question how you meant it, honestly I enjoy the calculations, doing the JEs, and the spreadsheets. Wish I could say I enjoy the money, but I don't think I am there yet.
