For those of you who have worked for more than one accounting firm, what was your response when asked why you decided to switch firms?

When asked the question you want to avoid saying anything negative about your past firm, even if its true, because this comes off to make you look like maybe you don't work well with others, or any other number of thoughts. Instead, highlight the changes between the old firm and the new firm which you feel would have a positive impact on your career/life. Things such as: size of firm, types of clients, different types of engagements, ability to grow, different location, less/more travel. Give them specific reasons for why the switch will be beneficial for you while also highlighting while your past experience makes you a valuable asset for their firm.
