Interview on Vals Day what to wear?

    Hey, mates I need your quick advise I have an interview on Vals day (Friday, February 14 ) and just wondering what to wear.It is an accounting job with a highly rated agency. I what to wear the usual suit with tie and wondering if the tie should be red or…..Any suggestions?

    If you wouldn't wear a red tie any other day of the year don't do it just because your interview falls on Feb 14. You're interviewing for a job not going on a first date.

    Honestly if its a big agency I'd go as conservative as possible.

    I guess it depends on the company. If I was the one interviewing him and he stepped in with a red tie on V-Day, I would chuckle because it shows he has a sense of humor. Dressing like a cherub with a bow and arrow would be over the top but the red tie is cute.

    I guess it depends on the company. If I was the one interviewing him and he stepped in with a red tie on V-Day, I would chuckle because it shows he has a sense of humor. Dressing like a cherub with a bow and arrow would be over the top but the red tie is cute.

    I personally avoid anything red or pink on VDay because I don't want anyone to think I tried to dress for the holiday. I've never been a big fan of VDay though (and yes, I am married, lol).

    I would chuckle too but you don't know the interviewer is looking for or appreciates a sense of humor. Further you don't know if you're being interviewed by someone who just got dumped and is loathing Valentines day, or just has a personal aversion to it.

    I think on an interview you're always better off to err on the side of conservatism rather than take a risk on someone seeing the value in recognizing a hallmark holiday.
