I finished a master of accounting at a not good reputation school last year and passed all sections of CPA exam since then.

I was expecting a full time / paid position after passing the CPA exam but couldn’t get it for a couple of month. I accepted an unpaid intern position at a small company.

It’s been a couple of weeks but what I did was mostly just entering data into a tax software. I don’t need to use my CPA knowledge at all.

Is internship at a small company generally like this? I have another internship offer from a smaller company. I was wondering if I should take it if I can get a better work experience.

There are several interns as many as full-time employees. Other interns are like still in school. my work condition is totally same as them. At another company I got an offer, I’ll be only intern for two CPAs.

I entered in tax information and scanned when I interned for 3 CPA's. But I entered most of the return. They reveiwed and signed off.

Our Summer intern was doing Cash, AP Testing, maybe some expenses–all under the supervision of staff and seniors; think he got some good experience and a good taste of the job.
