I was looking into internal auditor positions and would love to hear your opinions about internal auditing. I know there are different types such as SOX, operations, and IT. I have experience as a public accountant so it may be weird for me to go to a job with no numbers involved (operation internal audit), but I am always willing to learn and expand my knowledge.

By the way that was regular IA aka advisory (operational audits and internal consulting) NOT Compliance (SOX) that is death documenting and testing controls sucks big time. I could have killed myself testing some of the stupid controls with stupid frequencies. How many times can person sign documents….

Just thinking about that I want to stab my own eye and cut off my hand. I dont miss that at all. But the travelling was awesome.
