I got my first accounting internship at a company’s HQ. I started a few weeks ago and initially I was just going to get some experience and make some money while in my MSA program. Now I’m considering staying long term if I get an offer. The environment is real chill and I got a spacious working area. I can choose when to come in as long as I work a certain number of hours and they are flexible with school schedules and taking time off for when I take my CPA exam sections. I’ve enjoyed the internship so far.
Will a lack of public accounting experience really hold me back? I learned on these forums that getting a CPA license in industry is possible. Is my first experience representative of most of industry regarding low stress?
