I work as an accountant in a small private corporation.
I am the only employee in the accounting department and I am in charge of
accounting. I would like to land an auditor/tax job in a public accounting firm.
Do you guys think that my current job + RCPA(I am from IL) would help me to get a foot in the door in a public accounting firm?
I know that public accounting firm will offer a job to someone who has public accounting experience over me.
For my current job, I only worked for 9 month. Should I need to work at least 1 year and quit this job or
change jobs as soon as I get an offer from public accounting firm?
Does it look better if I put 1 year experience as an accountant rather than 9 month as an accountant for public accounting job?
Please give me your opinion.
Thank you!
