MemberA CPA is not someone who can remember every single thing they studied for the CPA exam, that is unrealistic. A CPA is someone who has gone through the rigors of a complete accounting education covering all aspects of the subject, then dedicated their time and energy enough to demonstrate they have the mental aptitude to pass the four sections required to obtain the license. You obviously have what it takes to pass, dedication and the wanting to pass this exam. Once you pass, you will spend the rest of your career brushing up on accounting topics, this is why states require CPE after you pass the exam. Go pass REG.
AUD (JAN 13) - 82
FAR (MAY 13) - 79
BEC (AUG 13) - 81
REG (NOV 13) - 83Used Becker Self Study

MemberThe material on the CPA exam does not have a lot to do with working as an accountant in real life. No one uses the zillion topics that we study for the exam in any one job. Don't worry about it. When you're working, you'll concentrate on whatever your area of work is and you will learn way more by experience than you learned in your studies.

if passed them and i cannot remember it , how would i call my self a cpa.
i usually think of a cpa as a highly skilled caliber but that makes me not good enough to change my career saying the i am a cpa but i lack confident about my self.
Firstly, congrats on having passed three CPA exams.
Secondly, the reason why you can't remember the previous chapters is you haven't done enough practice questions. Once you start doing more practice questions and also making your own notes in your own words will the material sink into your head.
Thirdly, I will disagree with your comment about needing to remember everything what you learnt from exam preparations. Reasons are :-
Exams test you on current regulations and laws – so its at a point of time you get tested.
Real life – regulations and laws change. Every CPA will tell you must understand the general concepts and rules but you don't need to know up to the nth details because that changes.
Example in Tax personal exemptions are 3,900 this year, next year it will be 4,000 and so on.
Lastly – this is the reason why after getting your CPA, you need to complete 40 hours of CPE (I think its 40 hours or something like that) ..this is where working CPA in the real work keep up with the knowledge and material not from CPA exams but from Continuous Professional Education every year.
I hope this makes sense and elevates you from worry about being a skilled CPA after the exams.

InactiveDidn't you know that CPA stands for ‘Cant Pass Again' ?? Come on now. Pass all 4 parts and do not worry about how much you do not retain afterwards, you will learn on the job in any accounting position that you obtain.

ParticipantThink of the CPA exam like a one night stand with a chick you really dint like. The next morning you just don’t want to remember anything. In this case, the one night stand lasted for 9 to 15 months, and it was painful, so I guess your brain does not want to remember anything after you are done.
All kidding aside, why do we forget so many things? Why is not easy to learn new information and stay with it? Why people hate studying? And they do, if that were not the case, more than 20% of this nation would have a college diploma. And don’t tell me the other 80% wouldn’t like to have a Bachelors degree.
