I need advice on networking please and any other advice is welcomed.

The panel discussion usually includes a few different speakers with varying backgrounds. They will usually tell you where they work, how they got started, and what they currently do. This is a good time to ask questions about specific topics in areas you're considering (tax, audit, industry, etc.).

The Becker representative is the one who performed the presentation regarding the CPA exam at the event I attended. This was a good time to ask specific questions about the exam itself such as which exam to take first, when are the testing periods, etc. That being said – I wasn't overly impressed with our presenter. People were asking questions that she didn't have answers for; however, I had already done my research so after the presentation I would give them some direction.

The networking part will take place at the beginning, end, and probably during breaks but the end will be more productive as you have an idea as to what questions you may want to ask and to whom you should ask them. If you will not be bringing your resume with you I would recommend that you talk to the presenting CPA's and ask for advice and maybe even ask for an email address so you can send that person your resume in the future so they can look it over and give advice.

    Good luck and have fun.

EDIT: The most important part is to be social and network 😉
