How to Move Into FDD If There's No Group in Your City?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working for a Big 4 firm and have recently been trying to make the switch into an advisory. I know for sure that i want to get into deal advisory/FDD, but I’m not sure how to go about doing this because my office does not have this type of team in-house like bigger cities do. Is it generally acceptable for me to reach out to somebody cold even if they are in a different office or what would be the best way to go about doing this?
