Hi all,

I’m trying to get my first position and all of my applications seem to be going into some deep black hole on the internet, never to be seen again. I know that I can land a job if I can get to the interview portion, but I can’t seem to even get that far.

Here’s my situation:

My MBA will be finished in December

I’ll be eligible to sit the CPA exam in May.

I haven’t interned because I have to work full-time to support my family, but I’m currently working as an AR clerk and have been a tax preparer.

I can’t go to my school’s career fair because we’ve recently moved 1000+ miles away and I’m finishing remotely. None of the school’s here will let you in unless you’re a student there. It seems like most of the new graduates get hired at the fairs and I’m not sure how to get noticed.

I’m in the Miami area now if that makes a difference.

Any help would be appreciated.
