I try to find local firm information from yellow book, but most of them are really small ones (1-several people). How to target firms with 30-100 employees?

I would like to visit them personally to find opportunities in tax practice. I do not want to just sit in front of the computer sending out resumes. There are not a lot job postings out there, so I would like to be more aggressive. With the exams passed, I just want a step stone for public accounting. Is it that hard?

That would be totally cool if Ntw6817 could get you connected with a firm! Even more reason we need private messaging! lol.

Here is the contact person for the Denver area: Leslie O'Donnell at 303-741-8611. She will have the information that you need. She may be able to direct you to firms without you being a member. You should ask if they have a candidate membership or if you can visit one of their events for free.

Hope Jeff would consider your suggestion about private massaging. Yes, that would be really helpful. I do need some connections with public firms.

This may be late, but the easiest way that I have found firms is by doing a firm on firm search that is available on AICPA.org. You can filter by the size firm that you are looking for, the area, and a few other criteria. The link is https://peerreview.aicpa.org/fof/default.aspx
