    BEC - 68,70,72,75 5/15
    AUD - 78(expired), 77 8/15
    REG - 29,58,65,77 1/16
FAR - 56,68,73 - retake October hopefully (last shot)

Just out of curiosity, can I ask how much experience you have?

I think you have to align the job you will take with your ambitions. Both roles listed above have certain trade offs. If you are single then you might want to sacrifice a couple more years and take the job that. Posts your resume. If you have a family you may be happy having the balance.

Do either of the companies excite you? I think that is an important factor for myself.

Have you also considered other compensatory items like medical coverage costs, 401k match, performance bonus targets, etc.?

@MaLoTu I got about a decade total in both Big 4 plus in house mixed. As you said, im in that phase of work life where my ambitions are getting larger than what my current job could satisfy BUT i also have a family…..both companies are somewhat interesting….i know both have really good medical insurance. I think it just depends if i want to be a career “senior” or if i take a risk and take on more work load…the higher paying job has more of a performance incentive bonuses while the current one is just flat, perhaps just the yearly typical small raises…

I get that most people switch jobs to actually get the bigger pay day, but its a difficult decision to leave a good place or at least even attempt…or is being “complacent” not a good thing either. Say i reach my 40s (im not there yet at all), would i regret not trying harder…

One note i like about these forums is you actually get grown adults chiming in, so i appreciate yall.

@small4 – i think it is going to come down to a “gut” decision for you.
I have significantly less experience than you, but I am in my late 30s. I recently took a role in industry. I left for a 23% increase, but my motivation wasn’t money — although I anticipated being where I am salarywise and they gave me the top of my range (I am in the SF Bay Area and I am making way more than I would have thought).
The most important things to me were the people I would be working with, the stability of the Company, the product they sold – if it was something that i thought was interesting, commute (which hasn’t been brought up), and then other perks like onsite gym, etc.
All things being held the same, I would have a very hard time passing up the manager role, but I thrive off of that type of role.
    Good luck!
