I am currently working as an auditor at a midsize accounting firm and I am wondering how all of you stay current with your auditing knowledge.

Are there resources you use to research? How do you stay in touch with what is going on in the industry? Or do you not do that, and instead focus on doing the actual auditing, assuming if there are change Quality Review of the firm will inform you.

I understand taking CPEs, but more than that how do you expand your knowledge base in the field?

I audit my own checkbook and bank and credit card accounts. Then i prepare an audit report to my bank and credit card company giving them a piece of my mind that it does not fairly represent my income, statement of financial position, and statement of cash flows.
