How do you apply a job in different states ?

    I live in st.louis, mo. I am trying to apply a job here for a while after I am done with CPA but there is no luck.

    I currently consider to apply a job to another state but not sure how to begin.

    I heard that some companies consider local resident in that state ?

    How should I begin with this and what states should i go for ? Any advice would be appreciated.
