Hi All,

I’m currently working on my accounting masters online via a state school here in NY. I work in the accounting department of a law firm for the time being as I work through school and the exams. My question is this: if I were to find audit work at a small firm in my area, as opposed to my current private industry job, would this preclude me from participating in the student recruiting season on my campus (whom would mainly be hiring for a fall 2015 start)? In other words, what kind of work crosses the line from just working through school to “experienced hire”?

I wouldn't think so. You could think of what you're doing right now as an internship, and people with internships look for a regular position at those recruiting events all the time.
