    Hi all,

It seems so difficult to land an Audit Associate job while everyone is looking for a senior in public accounting.

I’ve had phone interviews with big 3-no luck, no relevant industry experience.

Had submitted resume to a few local and national public accounting firms, -no response

met with a recruiter-wanted me to go work for an accounting outsourcing firm, or trying relocating me

anyone has any ideas what else can I possibly do?

Make sure to use Linkedin to its fullest networking extent. I think networking is the most underrated job search tool in the world, and it can't hurt!

Sometimes recruiting for staff auditors is seasonal because many firms have the new staff start together and train together, and each start class usually begins in the summer so you might have just missed it….

What about trying to get a staff internal auditor position to build more experience and then next year when recruiting for staff auditors in public accounting comes around again you'll have even more of an edge? Positions for staff internal auditors pop up fairly regularly in my job seaches…I actually see alot of those types of positions for companies like sutter health.

Be careful with how you present yourself. At least from this forum post, I'm assuming that your writing skills could use a little work. Gramatical errors/spelling errors are a huge turn off to protential employers. Maybe you just don't care on forum posts and you actually proof read when you write to potential employers – I don't know. Just posting based on what I see here. Not trolling or trying to be mean…
