    Hi All,

I am qualified accountant from UK, having 8+ years experience out of US, registered candidate for CPA exam in US, currently residing in US, I am applying for entry-level position at CPA firms but getting no reply almost 6 months passed, while studying for ACCA we have been studied 5 times more than CPA, having 8+ years of experience at managerial level experience obviously will know more than a fresh graduate but still I don’t know the real reason why I am not getting call. Can somebody please advice me regarding updating resume or where I should apply. Your helpful advice will much more be appreciated. Thanks

It may be your resume…my problem is becoming a moron during interviews. I get my foot in the door and then I slam the door on my foot. Sounds like your resume could use some Allspice lol With your qualifications, I would think you would be able to find something. But also location plays a huge role too! where do you live? Here in the US,they are ALWAYS asking for experience and qualifications.

I live in NJ, but can take the job in NY, Philly and CT near by NY (Stamford, Norwalk etc), my real challenge is US experience but hope that someone will hire me based on my qualification for entry-level position, currently I am associated with a small local CPA firm (assignment based) and they are very happy from my work but unfortunately they can't afford me full-time,,,,but I am their first preference for any incoming assignment,,,,
