Hi Ninjas!

So, I know the protocol is following up within 7 days or longer. So I applied to the local county for an Auditor I position. I remember when I emailed the supervisor he responded within one day. Then I emailed him my transcript and he said, complete the exam and the application, if everything looks good, he’ll call me for an interview. So I was hesitant and pushing it off until the VERY last day that the application was open (I know it’s my fault). So I submitted everything to him on Friday. The exam results and the application.

I know it’s Tuesday morning. So should I email him to ask whether or not my application is still being considered?

Perhaps wait until Wednesday/Thursday? it seems early in the week for the employer and they are likely reviewing all the applications this week since the application was closed last Friday. If the application was open until Friday, no need to apologize, right? You did submit in time before it closed. Its not like you asked the employer to take it after the fact.

Just send another email indicating you have applied for the position and would welcome any additional questions to clarify your application if needed. And update them on any other news that was not included in the application.
