Follow-up after applying to a job? - Page 2

I recently passed my last CPA exam and have been applying to different job openings online. Is it typical to follow-up after applying for a job (to check the status of my application/resume)? And if so, how soon is it appropriate to follow-up?

I would follow up in a week.

    “Hi my name is Ang-89,

I sent in my resume through your system on xyz date. I am really excited to come in and learn more about your company and the benefits I can bring to it. I am available on these dates (xxx) and at these times (yyy). I look forward to your response and being able to meet you in person.

    Sincerely (Coridally) (Ciao) (Thank You),

    Ang-89″

I found that this email although a little forward is what really rams you in. Then it is up to you on clinching it during the interview. Also, although outdated sending a card or a letter, (not an E-Mail / E-Card), immediately after the interview process, assuming they dont hire on the spot, is very very smiled upon. I have a firend who works in HR and someone she interviewed sent her a hallmark card, she posted it on Facebook, and all her friends in HR were oggling at it.

No news is bad news when it comes to applying for jobs imo.

ALL 4 parts passed summer 13
    Ethics October 13
    Experience (waiting)
