Hello guys

I will be starting my public accounting career tomorrow. Given the experience of this site, please feel free to give me any tips or suggestions that may make my transition easy. First day is at the office then training then back at office.. Again, I appreciate any tips or suggestion that will calm my nerves a little bit..

Take a lot of notes during training, ask questions and try to meet and talk to as many people as you can.

Bring some chap stick because your lips will get very dry from kissing all the asses you will need to.

1. Always ask questions, it is much better to ask a stupid question than waste an hour doing something the wrong way.

2. Be conscious of how you bill your time, especially if you end up working on an engagement with a smaller budget. It is probably the only thing you do your first year that will go to a Partner with out any review.
