    Hello,

Just found this forum. Looking for a little advice for those of you in Accounting. I’ve been working in manufacturing for about 10 years as a materials and process engineer/manager. I last worked in architectural building products. I’m kind of had my fill of manufacturing jobs. A few years back I worked for a plant that closed…..want more stability. A couple years ago I finished my MBA (concentrated in Accounting). I was laid off several months ago and decided to take the CPA exam. I’ve passed BEC, AUD, REG on my first try. I’m taking FAR this November. Anyone out there ever do this? I’m now at the point I want to start applying to firms. I know the tremendous step down I’m taking but I can do so….

I’ve never seen a job for what I am but several people have told me I’ll have a good mix. Recruiters? Advice/recomendations welcome…

    Thanks,

    Mike
