Encouragement – I did it!!

    Just wanted to encourage everyone to work towards your goal, as it surely does make a difference. I was promoted today to be a senior accountant, after 9 months of experience in accounting! Someone else in our company applied for the same position and he had 9 years of experience, but somehow I got promoted. I am sure that the fact that I’ve already passed 2 sections of the CPA exam played an important role in the decision (along with my passion for excellence and accuracy, and God’s will).

    Go get ’em!!!

    I guess it does make a difference.. but what type of accounting are you in? Like private? This exam is so hard… sometimes I feel like should I even go for it anymore? I don't even think I'm going to go for a big 4.. it seems like they always recruit kids for the audit.., which I am pass that stage already.. If I just work in public sector, should I even bother for this license? I mean, I don't necessarily need it to perform my job… and I doubt I'll ever make it to controller level..
