Anyone from WI out there that can clarify with me exactly what the employment requirements are? I know we need 1 year of experience. Under the statute it says 1 year of public accounting experience or its equivalent. The statute states that “the sufficiency of the experience or the equivalency to be judged by the board.” Has anyone had employment experience that wasn’t with a public accounting firm that counted, and what was it? I am nervous about how picky they are. There aren’t many jobs in the public accounting arena right now, and I need to get back to work to start getting my experience in. I have more options for in house type jobs. Does our position have to be directly supervised by a CPA to count?
