    Hey, Guys!!

I’m moving to NY and searching for a new job. My best bet is to e-mailing the firms and hoping to land something through that.

I’m really nervous to e-mail firms. Is this a good idea? If so, how should I word it?

Please!! I’m desperate & in need of some advice.

    Thank you so much!!

Concise, Concise, Concise, Concise! Oh and have someone else run an edit for you. I did some blind mailing to Big4 members of CalCPA when I was trying to get in. I made a very short to the point email (which I tried to find, but is somehow not in my outbox?!) and included my resume. Got me an interview and offer with one of the Big4 🙂

Are you looking for a Big4 job or smaller regional firms? I am in NY and I know a lot of the regional firms around here have information on their websites about submitting resumes if you are interested in employment. Make sure you check to see if whomever you are emailing has a specific contact person.

Like acamp said have someone run an edit for you. Keep it short and simple. I did a blind email for an internship which turned into my first job out of college.
