I’m still in school and I would like to see what it’s like to be in the working world, particularly a government position. Any government position I’m very curious about but I see more of the Auditor positions in this area.

I live in LA/OC but if anyone in the Socal area works for the state/county/local/federal government in accounting, finance, budget I would SO appreciate it if you would be willing to let me come by for a little bit (Even 30mins – 1hr!) to see what its like. You wouldn’t need to do anything, I would just come by and watch you work and maybe you can answer some questions about what you like and dislike about working there.

I deal with a disability that’s not visible so it does help me if I get a better idea of what it’s like to be in the working environment before I go through the full process and accept an offer.

I’m seriously curious about any of the stuff posted on usagov regularly.. budget analyst, credit analyst too, staff accountant, auditor, irs, dod, AF, army, tax. I also have no problem driving up to 2 hours for this opportunity to come to your location.

I tried searching for government “Career days” or “day in a life” or something to that nature but nothing like that at my school. (or anywhere)
