Ha, ha, you crack me up Jeff!

It was informational and entertaining. I especially liked when you talked about how much you enjoyed beer in college. How did you make the connection with the firm you joined? I know you said you knew someone who knew someone. Did you happen to meet this person through college or networking, or was it a personal relationship?

I really want to transfer into public accounting but it's tough from private industry and I've tried recruiters with no luck.

Should I put professional butt kicker on my resume? :p

Good question…

I was with my mom and then-fiance (who is now my wife…) and we were at a restaurant and I ran into the mom of someone I knew who was a client of the firm I eventually worked for.

I told her I was still job hunting … she set up the interview at the firm … I was offered the job in the interview … I said “yes” 🙂

I was fortunate to interview with someone who could look past a stupid GPA.

Since re-entering the accounting industry my motto has been to never turn down an opportunity, even if it isn't exactly what you want. It may eventually lead to where you hope to be later down the road.
