Another 71 Alum here…
I am currently working for a small CPA firm, finishing up my experience requirement. I should be done by Thanksgiving. My boss is looking for a CPA and I really hope she finds someone soon because I can’t hang around to help her when I’m done (I have my own business).
She put an ad on Career Builder and had no luck. She’s looking for someone with tax experience and who has, or is close to having their CPA license.
Let me tell you, she is has been wonderful to me and I’ve learned so much from her. This office is very laid back, she has a couple of bookkeepers, an office manager, and an IT guy. She really needs a tax person. She expects you to put in a lot of hours during tax season but I’m pretty sure she pays overtime. Salary is based on the experience you bring to the table.
