So far I believe that I have officially failed this fall’s campus recruiting. I got 3 three interviews among 10 positions I applied and received no offer. This fall is gonna be my last semester in college since I will receive the master degree in Dec. 3 days ago I checked the last CPA exams and I found out I passed it-so I have 4 CPA exams passed (but no offer).

I’ve learned that campus recruiting is the best way to get a position in public accounting firm. So should I pursue another master? I always want to be a tax professional so should I go MS in taxation for my 2nd master?

Have you looked at smaller CPA firms?

Networking through professional associations will get you out there. There's always alternative besides only campus recruiting.

Just be patient, things happen for a reason.

Whatever doesn't happen now just means there's something better for you in store..

    Don't sweat it.

There are plenty of firms that hire people after they get their degree. I'd say MOST people don't have jobs waiting for them at graduation.

Do not pursue another graduate degree just so you can do OCR again.

Very small percentage of accounting graduates end up in public. In fact, I think some publication did a study and that actual percentage was somewhere between 10-20%.

Public accounting is not the end. You can always apply to smaller firms and then switch to bigger firms, or go work in the industry.

    FAR - 86
    REG - 85
    BEC - 90
    AUD - 84

Find a job at a smaller firm and apply to Big 4 after one or two years.

Bg 4 is always begging for people at the senior level.
