I am considering taking the civil service exam after having passed all parts of the CPA exam. I was told by a person in the government HR department that I can use a civil service examination review book if I desired. I am trying to determine whether or not I need to before taking the civil service exam. I have tried searching for review books online at library websites, on Amazon.com and Google, but I cannot seem to find a review book specifically for accounting. Most of the books cover office clerk, firefighters, police officers or postal workers. Many books are general and cover elementary math and verbal questions, which I know will not be a problem.
I would appreciate any feedback from accounting professionals and/or CPA’s who have taken or studied for a civil service exam for an accounting position.
Thank you!
