Hello everyone,
So I have not yet finished the CPA exam…but I’ve got a feeling I can take on ANY/EVERYTHING after this beast!
That being said, I’m trying to decide between CFP, PFS (personal financial specialist) before getting my Masters. I’m leaning towards getting my PFS right before starting my Masters (not sure if Macc, MSA, MST) instead of the CFP because the PFS is a certification that only CPAs can get. I don’t know if this distinction is worth it, but it sure would make me feel even better about getting my CPA.
I currently work in tax, and my “passion” in tax is only within individuals. I also like budgeting and cost (at least what I learned in BEC), and the idea of being a financial planner for clients in the entertainment industry (also known as a business manager). I’m also interested in trying my hand at production accounting.
With that being said, which one of these certs sounds best and why? Do you have any personal experience in any of these industries and would like to share your experiences?? my email address is barris.j@gmail.com (please no spam!)
