Hello,
I am a CPA with light experience 1-2 years. I like the idea of audits. Being mid 40’s, I am considering Internal Audit but not sure which industry to get into. I have heard banks are good for starters but maybe not long term. Third party IA firms and maybe public. I have limited time to climb the ladder and am considering going for the CIA if IA is working out. Maybe a designation in CRMA along with CIA.
I am soliciting opinions and ideas because I need to start making a bold move into a side of accounting that interests me and I keep coming back to audit. External auditing may not fit my lifestyle at this point and IA is growing considerably. I would appreciate any suggestions and feedback.
Also, one of my ex professors told me to check out Business Analytics because it involves some management (maybe a good fit for my age) and some consulting.
Thank you.
